THE VANILLA SPONGE


Basic Sponge Cake (Vanilla Fatless Sponge)


Ingredients:


Flour - 100 gms


Caster Sugar - 10
0 gms

Eggs - 4Nos


Salt - a pinch


Vanilla Essence – 5ml


Method:

a) Beat the eggs and gradually addsugar to a stiff foam. Meanwhilekeep the mold or trays lined withbrown paper ready.


b) Sieve flour & salt and Fold in theegg mixture. Do not deflate thesponge as the air incorporated isthe only means of aeration.


c) Bake at 190 C for about 20 to25minutes.
